since 2012:
Member of VDI‘s (Association of German Engineers) expert committee on human reliability (FA504 „Menschliche Zuverlässigkeit und Sicherheit“), which developed and continually updates the VDI 4006 series of standards on human reliability.

since 2014:
One of the German experts on IEC technical committee’s TC65 (Industrial-process measurement, control and automation), sub-committee SC65A (System Aspects), working group WG17 on the development of IEC 62879 Ed. 1.0 „Human factors and functional safety“.
